Sindo Lumber was established in 1970 in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan. It obtained a government permit for timber forest product utilization for 98,000 ha in Barito, Central Kalimantan, from which it supplies logs to the wood industry

In 2010, Sindo Lumber renewed its permit and was granted a 36,215 ha forest concession for 45 years of utilization.
